Romina Mesa was born and raised in Miami, Florida where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. Upon graduating, Ms. Mesa joined Florida International University as a Bright Futures Scholar, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. During her time at Florida International University, Ms. Mesa interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as a Victim Witness Counselor. Ms. Mesa later went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the Florida International University College of Law, where she was named on the Dean’s List. While in law school, Ms. Mesa interned with Catholic Legal Services, where she aided asylum seekers with their application process, as well as DACA candidates. During her time in law school, she also clerked for a boutique insurance defense firm in Coral Gables.
Ms. Mesa’s practice focuses on first-party property insurance litigation where she represents homeowners in disputes with insurance companies. Prior to joining The Property Advocates, she began her legal career practicing in the area of Real Estate Law. In addition to her attorney practice, Ms. Mesa is also a Florida licensed realtor. On her time off, she enjoys traveling, exercising and spending quality time with friends and family.
