Bio

Lisa Jacobs is a Lead Attorney with The Property Advocates and has served the people of South Florida for over 20 years. During this time, she has successfully negotiated the resolution of thousands of cases, tried hundreds of cases to verdict, trained dozens of attorneys and counseled each of clients with patience and individualized attention.

Ms. Jacobs started her legal career at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office where she quickly moved up through the ranks to become a Felony Division Chief with an extensive Homicide caseload. In her role there she managed an average of 800 felony cases, overseeing 3 junior prosecutors handling every level of felony case, training then in the art of jury trial and evidentiary analysis. She went on to become a go-to in-house lecturer in various specialty areas, such as Identification, Probation Violations, Sentencing Guidelines, Pre-Trial Release and Charging Decisions to name a few.

Upon leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Jacobs opened her own solo practice where she handled Family Law cases as well as court-appointed criminal defendants. She also aligned her herself with a firm shortly after Hurricane Irma to assist that firm in in handling its huge influx of property claims, and set up their Early Resolution Unit, settling hundreds of cases within an 18-month period.

Ms. Jacobs has a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami. Her two children, now 16 and 20, are her greatest joy, and she has been both a Soccer Coach and a Dance Mom for years. Superhero movies and science fiction books are her best way to unwind.
